SEVEN on SUNDAY(or Friday)

1. This month the joy school moms took took the kids to the pumpkin patch. They were able to go through corn mazes, pick pumpkins, and have a fun hay ride. Joy school has been so good for all of us this fall. It gives kyle time with children his age and brevan gets some mommy time. It has also taught Kyle how to share a lot better without mommy yelling at him!

2. I met this amazing guy named Mike Nyberg. A little about him. He is 40 has 2 boys and a daughter that was adopted from Samoa(she's back there long story). He is living in Pocatello right now. He is very active in church, Temple worthy, and an RM(a couple of decades ago, sorry dear!) The wonderful thing is that he will call me just to say I am thinking of you right now but I have to go back to work. Last Friday we did the "let's meet the kids thing". Our kids got along really good. Mackenzie thinks mike is great. He called the other night while i was putting away groceries and he got a 20 minute conversation out of her.....and that NEVER happens. She was so excited to tell him about Halloween costumes and asked him about the boys. So Needless to say I have been blessed with a great friend. Especially after this past week. He has listened to all my woes and not complained...actually gave some good advice.

3. Job offer, well I am moving back to the SE Idaho area in a few weeks. I got a job offer there and it is closer to Brendan so he can help out more and be more involved in the kids' life. Plus we miss family there, but I am going to MISS my Brother and STEPH!!!!! guys just buck up and move too:)

4. Laryngitis still continues. After a month I still have laryngitis. Went to doctor, got some prednisone and after 9 days it's starting to help I think.

5. Yogurt messes and lessons learned. Tuesday afternoon while getting ready for work I had given the boys some yogurt for a snack. Princess, the dog, comes into my bathroom covered in blueberry yogurt. I didn't even want to look. I went into the living room and the boys were also covered as were my walls, floors, tv, and furniture. Kyle said so innocently ,"we were having a food fight mommy!" what do you do. I wanted to yell and scream all I did was get some towels and helped them clean up. We talked about how food fights are best done outside so we don't ruin things. I learned that kids need to discover and learn things and sometimes we as parents have to calm down and enjoy the moment.

6.Happy Halloween!!! I will post pictures later next week. This week for Halloween celebration The kids and I carved pumpkins and made our traditional sugar cookies. The cookies always take the longest. They get excited until the3 rd batch and mom ends up finishing them.

7. Thoughts on Life. Life is full of lessons to be learned. This past week has been a very emotionally trying week for me. I felt like I finally had been permanently demoted to the "formal in-law". Divorce is hard, but you not only lose a spouse or parent but sometimes people lose and entire family. I love all of my in-laws so much and I want them to know that I will always allow them to be apart of our lives. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for the blessings he has given me. I know that the Savior's atonement can heal and mend our homes and families as well allow for us to Repent. Have a blessed week.

Have I told you lately how much you amaze me?
So is this guy a dating guy, or a friend guy? Will you be moving further away from him?

Jess- I'm always glad to read your updates because I'm always thinking about ya! Congrats on the new job. What an adventure you're on. Moving, dating.....oh my. Enjoy it while it lasts because some great guy is going to sweep you right off of your feet before you know it. I think it's GREAT that you took the opportunity to teach those cute boys rather than yelling at them like some of us would have. It's so easy to forget that they think differently then we do because they're learning. What a good mom you are. Hang in there, and keep in touch!

Fun pictures from the pumpkin patch! I'm glad to hear you're moving back to this neck of the woods. Maybe I'll run into you occasionally now. Mike sounds really nice. Keep us posted on that one! :)

I want to know the answers to Angie's questions too! :) I'm happy that you've found a friend that cares for you and loves your children.

Your two boys look the same size, or at least very close!

Did you get pictures of the yogurt mess? They would be fun to look at when the boys are older.

Hey girl! I love your 7 on 7's. I so need to copy your great idea. :) I love the pics of the kids, and you! You look so happy with them.
I'm so curious about this guy you talked about. It's good to see you branching out. You need someone to lean on every so often, even though you are super mom! Oh..how's school?
Congrats on the new job!
